At the risk of sounding like and awful person...
The reason I am enrolled in this institution of higher learning is to do just that.. learn. Apparently I am a freak of nature, and of our popular culture for that matter, and academic apathy runs rampant in the veins of this student body.
haha. except that would be futile as it is idealistic and while it may be nice to have a strong belief that we shoudl live like that... the already established government and society prevents it, not to mention human nature would fail it as well. Oh but i wih on every falling star i see that it could be true.
there is this really good quote I heard this week that is perfect for this post. only I cant remember exactly how it goes or who said it (I know, I know) but the basic point of it is this- the purpose of higher education is to make you unreconcilable (spelling? what?) to the average mind. now someone probably is cringing right now because of how badly I slaughtered that quote. If you are... please please let me know.

Liz, I too am only enrolled to learn. Plaudits to us...we are awesome. As for everyone else, what do you expect? People are stupid. Just kidding people, you're not stupid - I just don't like you.
I just read over my comment and realized it sounded as I were saying I didn't like you , Liz. That's not true at all. I actually meant I don't like people, which is also not true. But it was a joke directed at no one, and that's almost always safe.So Liz, don;t you dare take that last comment the wrong way. And thatnks for the consistency of your comments on my blog.
